October 21 & 22
The Wall Candy Art Expo is presenting a new concept for our brand this year: Wall Candy NOIR.
This is an upscale fine art show taking place over two days in October at the Horticulture Building at Lansdowne Park. The first day will be an exclusive evening vernissage from 6pm to 10pm, complete with live music by Ottawa's acclaimed Rebecca Noelle, along with canapés & cocktail hour provided by Ogham Craft Spirits. The second day will be open to the public from 10am to 4pm.
We have partnered with Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation to raise funds for the "Building Space Between the Walls" Campaign to help build a comfortable, modern, fully-equipped space for 15 bed bays at QCH. Learn more about this.
More details on this event will be posted soon. Please subscribe to our mailing list to stay informed.
Wall Candy is a grassroots operation created by artists for artists to bring meaningful exhibition opportunities to artists.
Founded in 2018 by Christina Lovisa, Wall Candy was first held at the Horticulture Building in Lansdowne Park.
With the support of fellow artists Judy Anderson and Andrea Elena, Wall Candy grew from 60 artists in 2018, to 140 artists in 2019 at the Aberdeen Pavillion in Lansdowne Park. Though 2020 presented many challenges, organizers Christina and Andrea continued planning, and held a September event in 2021 at Wesley Clover Park.
This year, we are returning to the Horticulture Building for our first NOIR event, and fourth Wall Candy exhibition!
